UVA releases six-match spring schedule

The Virginia men’s soccer program will play a six-match spring slate that begins on Sunday at home against James Madison. Five of the six matches will be part of the Spring College Cup, a tournament the Cavaliers have participated in the last two seasons.

The remaining date will be filled by an exhibition match against the Vaughn SC, a club based out of Ontario, Canada, on April 5.

The Cavaliers will play three of the six matches in Charlottesville with all games taking place on Perry Field. Admission to all spring home matches is free. The final of the Spring College Cup will be hosted by Wake Forest on Sunday, April 19.

College teams playing in this year’s Spring College Cup include – Clemson, Duke, Georgetown, James Madison, Maryland, NC State, North Carolina, Wake Forest and Virginia Tech. The teams will be split into two divisions, North and South.

The North and South Division teams will play each member of their group once from Feb. 22 to April 5, followed by playoffs on April 19. The top team in each group will face-off, as well as the runner-up, third-placed, and fourth-placed teams in each group.
