UVA trio wraps up play at Liberty Invitational

uva golfPlaying a non-traditional invitational format, three members of the Virginia men’s golf team went 1-1-1 in their matches during Tuesday’s play at the Liberty Invitational. Competition took place at Poplar Grove Golf Club in Amherst.

Jack Montague picked up the UVA win shooting 78 to beat Charlotte’s Trey Tobias who posted a round of 81. Chris Fosdick battled Liberty’s Connor Polender to a draw with each player shooting 5-over 76. Cavalier freshman George Duangmanee suffered his only loss of the three-round event, falling to Liberty’s Zach Barbin 78-73.

The Cavaliers head to the ACC Championships next week at Crabapple Golf Club in Alpharetta, Ga.
