Duangmanee tops UVA individuals at Seminole Intercollegiate

Virginia freshman George Duangmanee (Fairfax, Va.) turned in the best performance of the four Cavaliers who competed as individuals at this weekend’s Seminole Intercollegiate at Golden Eagle Country Club in Tallahassee, Fla.
Duangmanee shot 3-over 75 during the final round for a 54-hole total of 5-over 221. He finished the tournament tied for 36th.
Senior Andrew Orischak (Hilton Head Island, S.C.) had UVA’s best final-round score, shooting 1-over 73 to place 60th at 10-over 225. Seniors WeiWei Gao (Cebu, Philippines) and Jimmie Massie (Lynchburg, Va.) were 69th and 79th at 228 and 234, respectively.
The Cavaliers return to tournament plan March 1 when they compete in the two-day Wake Forest Invitational that will be played at Pinehurst No. 2.
