Nine members of the Virginia women’s indoor track and field team and one of its relay squads have been named to the 2021 Virginia Sports Information Director’s University Division All-State Indoor Track & Field Team.
Named to the first team this year were senior Halle Hazzard (Commack, N.Y.), senior Khyasia Caldwell (Pocono Summit, Pa.) junior Rebecca Hawkins (Sidcup, England), sophomore Jada Seaman (Pikesville, Md.), junior Alix Still (Aberdeenshire, Scotland) and the 4×400 relay team of Seaman, graduate student Andrenette Knight (Morant Bay, Jamaica), sophomore Alahna Sabbakhan (Washington, D.C.) and freshman Anzhelika Parenchuk (Barnaul, Russia).
A first-team All-American in the 60-meter dash, Hazzard was recognized in the sprints’ category. During the season she set the UVA record in the event (7.23) and the 200 meters (23.45).
Caldwell, Hawkins and Seaman were all recognized for their performances in the jumps. Seaman placed 12th in the long jump at the NCAAs to earn second-team All-America honors. Hawkins was a second-team All-ACC pick after placing fourth in the high jump while Caldwell placed second in the long jump and fourth in the triple jump at the ACC meet.
Still was the first-team recipient for the multi-events. She was a second-team All-American after placing 12th at the national meet and first-team All-ACC thanks to a third-place performance.
The 4×400 relay team clocked the fifth best performance in program history, running 3:40.79.

Each all-state team consists of three sprinters, two middle-distance runners, two distance runners, one hurdler, four jumpers, two throwers, one multi-event athlete and two relays. ACC members Virginia and Virginia Tech had six spots each on the all-state first team, while Liberty had two and Norfolk State, George Mason, and VCU each had a single honoree. The second-team featured four more athletes from UVA and one from VT, while Liberty had eight members. The University of Richmond had three second-team members and William & Mary had one.
VaSID names 44 all-state teams in 23 sports each year, as well as an Academic All-State squad and an all-sports champion in both the University and College Divisions. Membership in VaSID is open to all media relations professionals working at a university or conference in the state of Virginia.
