Virginia’s top remaining basketball target, power forward TJ Power, said he will announce his final school choice on Wednesday at 5 p.m. Eastern.

Power is believed to be a heavy lean toward Duke over Virginia. UNC, Iowa and Boston College are also on his list of considered schools.

UVA was believed to have been the leader for the 6-foot-9 star’s talents back in the summer, until Power had a breakout, 40-plus point game in one summer league contest in Kansas City. That’s when Duke, UNC, UCLA and Kansas all came in with offers.

Duke coach Jon Scheyer made Power, who plays at Worcester (Mass.) Academy, his No. 1 priority after the Kansas City performance for the Blue Devils’ last scholarship.

Power grew up a Virginia fan and established a good relationship with Tony Bennett, however he called his offer from Duke “surreal,” as the recruiting seemed to turn at that point.
