UVA snags second wide receiver commitment in two days with North Carolina’s Titus Ivy
By Jerry Ratcliffe
Virginia football has gained commitments from wide receiver prospects on back-to-back days, building the Cavaliers’ list to 15 commits.
Titus Ivy, a 6-foot-4, three-star wide receiver from Cox Mill High School in Concord, N.C., announced on his Twitter account Tuesday morning that he had committed to Virginia. UVA is his only offer.
On Monday, UVA picked up a commitment from Georgia high school state record holder Jaden Gibson, a 6-1, 3-star wide receiver from Tiger, Ga.
Ivy is a two-sport athlete, having drawn some interest for his basketball prowess as a point guard/wing for Cox Mill and the Charlotte Kings summer team. He visited UVA in early November, a week after an offer from the Cavaliers. While on his visit, he was hosted by redshirt freshman receiver Dakota Twitty, also a product out of North Carolina.
Ivy is rated the No. 38 overall prospect in the Tar Heel state by 247Sports and is ranked as the No. 262 wide receiver prospect in the country also by 247.

His coach, Deshawn Baker, believes that Ivy’s best days are ahead because of his developing athletic ability.
“Titus has great ball skills,” Baker told Brian Dohn of 247Sports. “He runs really well for that size. He’s had multiple games where he had two touchdowns, he’s jumping over people and catching the ball, and he blocks really well. He got on everyone’s radar by playing, jumping up and getting those 50-50 balls and things like that.”
There is a cool video of Ivy making a one-handed touchdown catch over a defender on social media.
