While the main attraction for Virginia’s basketball program this coming weekend will be the second official visit of big-time recruit Kon Knueppel (see related story here), another Cavalier target will be in town Saturday on his second “unofficial” visit.

Acaden Lewis, a 6-foot-2 combo guard from Sidwell Friends in D.C., will be dropping by to visit UVA’s coaching staff. The Cavaliers have been recruiting the top-50 junior (recruiting class of 2025) since his sophomore year, and he has built a solid relationship with Coach Tony Bennett and Jason Williford, associate head coach.

Lewis was offered by UVA in July and likes the fact that Virginia isn’t that far (only 134 miles) from his school.

The 4-star is ranked by 247Sports’ composite of the four major recruiting services as No. 76 among overall players in the country, the No. 10 combo guard in the nation for his class and the No. 2 prospect out of D.C.

Lewis has also been offered by Florida State, Maryland, Penn State, St. John’s, Providence, George Mason, Nebraska and others. He has recently visited Georgetown and Maryland and soon plans to visit Oregon, Ohio State and Florida State (October for the Seminoles).

Lewis unofficially visited UVA during the fall of 2022.
