On the heels of gaining a commitment from Class of 2024 sharpshooter Ishan Sharma of Canada, Virginia made its 12th offer to a prospect in the Class of 2025 on Thursday when Tony Bennett extended an offer to Adrien Stevens.
Stevens is a 6-foot-4 combo guard from The Bullis School in Potomac, Md., just outside of Baltimore. He is a composite No. 100 overall national prospect according to the national recruiting services, the No. 14 combo guard in the country and the No. 2 prospect in the state of Maryland.
With 16 offers, Stevens is being pursued by UVA, Maryland, Marquette, Virginia Tech, Pitt, Providence, Penn State, Xavier, Butler and others. He has unofficially visited Tech, has an official to Maryland and plans official visits to Marquette and possibly Xavier and Pitt. UVA just offered him on Thursday, Stevens announced on his Twitter account. The Cavaliers wanted to see him play more before extending an offer.
Stevens missed his freshman year at Bullis due to knee surgery, but led the team to 26 wins last season as a sophomore and is cleared medically to play.
