247Sports includes Colandrea, Robinson on Freshman All-American Team

Virginia quarterback Anthony Colandrea and linebacker Kam Robinson were each listed on the 247Sports True Freshman All-America Team. Virginia was one of four programs (Iowa State, Miami, Alabama & Clemson) with multiple players on the 28-man team.
Colandrea passed for 1,958 yards and 13 touchdowns, both UVA freshman records. He led all Power-5 true freshmen in passing yards and passing touchdowns.
Against Maryland he threw for 377 yards and three touchdowns, the fifth-most yards in a single-game by an ACC quarterback in 2023. Starting six games for the Cavaliers, he finished the season ranked ninth in the ACC in passing yards and passing touchdowns.
He was twice recognized as the ACC Rookie of the Week and was featured on the Davey O’Brien Award’s Great 8 List for his performance against Duke in week 12 (21-30, 278 yards, 3 TD).
As a true freshman, Robinson made eight stats and appeared in all 12 games for the Cavaliers in 2023. He led all ACC true freshmen and ranked third among FBS true freshman in tackles with 71. Robinson added 4.5 tackles for loss, one sack, two interceptions and four quarterback hurries.
He posted double-digit tackle efforts three times this season, including a 12-tackle performance against William & Mary. It was the most tackles by a UVA true freshman linebacker since r since Ahmad Brooks had 12 in the 2003 Continental Tire Bowl against Pitt. He led or co-led UVA in tackles five times.
Robinson’s second interception of the season came at then-No. 11 Louisville which he returned it for a touchdown to tie the game at 14 in the third quarter.
