Virginia’s men’s basketball team will face all three new ACC members next season, Cal, Stanford and SMU, according to a schedule released by the conference on Thursday.
The ACC will again feature a 20-game league schedule for the 2024-25 season, which will be broken up this way:
- Two games (home and away) versus each of the school’s two current partners. In Virginia’s case, this will be Virginia Tech and Louisville.
- On-repeat opponent (home and away). For UVA, that repeat opponent will be SMU.
- The remaining 14 conference games will be made up of seven home-only opponents and seven away-only opponents.
Here is Virginia’s ACC schedule for next season:
HOME/AWAY: Virginia Tech, Louisville and SMU
HOME: Boston College, Clemson, Duke, Florida State, Georgia Tech, NC State, Notre Dame
AWAY: Cal, Miami, North Carolina, Pitt, Stanford, Syracuse, Wake Forest
Virginia will be playing road games against all three new members. It will be interesting to learn when details are figured out whether or not the Cal and Stanford games will be played on the same trip, perhaps a Saturday/Monday.
