Men’s, Women’s City Golf Championships set for Meadowcreek
By Jerry Ratcliffe
The annual Charlottesville City Golf Championship, the lone remaining area golf tournament open to the public, is set for Saturday, June 29 and Sunday, June 30 at Meadowcreek Golf Course.
There’s a bit of a twist to this year’s event in that the Ladies’ City Championship and the Men’s Championship will be played in the same event. Ladies Regular (ages 16-49), Senior (50-64), Super Senior (65+) are the divisions for the women’s portion of the event, while for the Men’s Regular, the same age brackets exist.
It’s a 36-hole, medal-play event that is flighted after the first round. VSGA points are awarded for each event’s divisions.
Pairing requests can be made for Round 1 within your division.
The entry fee is $170 (guest $100), which includes green fees, cart, range balls and prizes.
