St. Anne’s PG Chance Mallory announces final six schools

Home-grown prospect Chance Mallory will sit out the rest of the summer while recovering from a broken ankle, but that didn’t stop the St. Anne’s-Belfield point guard from narrowing his huge list of offers down to only six on Tuesday.
Mallory said his final six schools are: Virginia, Tennessee, Clemson, Miami, Villanova and Virginia Tech.
The 4-star guard has moved up to the No. 35 overall prospect in the recruiting class of 2025 in the On3 evaluation list (No. 61 on the composite of the top four recruiting services) and the No. 11 point guard in the nation.
Mallory averaged 26 points per game as a junior at St. Anne’s, along with 4.8 assists and 8.4 rebounds.
The 5-foot-9 standout said that he has enjoyed building a relationship with UVA coach Tony Bennett and associate head coach Jason Williford, both of whom he said he has known all his life. He likes how the Virginia staff plans to use him, should he choose the Cavaliers.
Mallory said his plan is to announce his final decision on his father, Joe’s, birthday, which is Oct. 30.
