Matt Schaub picked a perfect scenario for getting his feet wet in the coaching profession when the former Virginia quarterback agreed to join the NFL’s Arizona Cardinals organization.
Schaub, who was ACC Player of the Year in 2002 for Coach Al Groh, went on to become the most prolific passer for the Houston Texans franchise in the NFL, enjoying a lengthy NFL career. Since retirement, Schaub has dabbled in various facets of football from being an analyst for the Atlanta Falcons to various jobs as a broadcaster, even for his alma mater the past two seasons.
Coaching always had a bit of an allure and when this opportunity arose, Schaub accepted.
