It’s not uncommon for Virginia coach Ryan Odom to get advice from his father, Dave Odom, and heading into this week’s ACC Tournament is no exception.
Odom’s Cavaliers are the No. 2 seed and thanks to earning a double-bye, don’t open tournament play until noon on Thursday, when they will play the early rounds survivor among No. 7 seed NC State, No. 10 Stanford, or No. 15 Pitt.
No matter the foe, Odom got some wise advice from the elder Odom, who led Wake Forest to two ACC Tournament championships and was part of the Terry Holland coached Virginia teams.
