Virginia running backs coach Keith Gaither has to be on Cloud 9 because of all the talent accumulated at that position.

Gaither has three running backs returning in Xavier Brown (sitting out the spring while recovering from a knee injury), Noah Vaughn and Zay Davis, who came on strong in the Gator Bowl win over Missouri. Gaither also has three backs recruited out of the transfer portal in Peyton Lewis (Tennessee), Jakail Middlebrook (Middle Tennessee State), and Solomon Beebe (UAB).
