Another Virginia transfer target has landed elsewhere after former Loyola Marymount forward Jalen Shelley committed to Texas A&M on Sunday.

Shelley, a 6-foot-8 sophomore from Little Elm, Texas, visited UVA during last week, then flew to A&M. He was supposed to visit Vanderbilt on Sunday but never made it out of College Station.

One of the top forwards available in the transfer portal, Shelley is the fifth player the Aggies have signed out of the portal this month. He originally played at Southern Cal before moving to LMU, where he averaged 13.7 points and 6.6 rebounds per game last season.
