This Week’s Guests: Barry Parkhill and Twitter’s “Phony Bennett”

Last week was unusual in that 12-3 is normally a very good record. But if you went 12-3 last week, you had the worst record on the panel.

Scott, Jerry and guest Rick Mast all went 14-1. The remaining guest – Tony Barnhart – was 13-2. Dave was 12-3, finished last among the group and fell to second place, two games behind Scott. Jerry’s 14-1 moved him up a few games, and now he is only three games out of second.

This week’s guests include Virginia basketball legend Barry Parkhill, who is currently Virginia’s Associate Athletic Director for Development. Parkhill – who was Virginia’s first ACC Player of the Year after the 1971-72 season, was also a first-round pick of the Portland Trail Blazers, but chose instead to play in Norfolk for the Virginia Squires. The practice courts at the John Paul Jones Arena are named for Parkhill.  Our other guest is fan favorite and Twitter legend Chris Dembitz. You may not be familiar at first with the name because you may normally see him by his Twitter name, Phony Bennett. Over 14,000 people follow @ifTonyTweeted to see every day what would be said “if Tony Tweeted.”

The panel is unanimous in picking Virginia Tech to beat Georgia Tech tonight, and four of the five panelists like Virginia to continue their winning ways with a win over North Carolina Saturday.
