In a poll of the Atlantic Coast Conference baseball coaches, Virginia was picked to repeat as ACC Coastal Division Champions.

The Cavaliers are coming off their sixth College World Series appearance since 2009 and second in the last three years. UVA finished 19-11 in ACC action last season and won its first ACC Coastal crown since 2011.

The Cavaliers have been picked to finish first or second in the Coastal by the league’s coaches in 10 of the last 11 seasons. The last time UVA was picked to finish first was in 2015, prior to the program’s first National Championship.

Virginia was one of four teams to receive a vote as preseason overall league champion. Wake Forest was selected to finish first in the Atlantic Division and voted as the preseason ACC overall champion.

Virginia will host the Demon Deacons March 15-17 at Disharoon Park. The middle game of the three-game set on March 16 is slated to air live on ACC Network at 4 p.m.

Virginia enters the 2024 season as the No. 14 team in the country according to D1Baseball.com. The Cavaliers appear in the top-25 of the Baseball America (No. 10), NCBWA (No. 11) and Perfect Game (No. 10) polls.

Virginia will open up the 2024 season at home with a three-game series against Hofstra beginning Friday, Feb. 16. First pitch is scheduled for 3 p.m. at Disharoon Park. Season and single-game tickets are available now at UVATix.com.
