Big Ray Roberts visits “Jerry & Jerry” this morning

Former Virginia All-American offensive tackle Ray Roberts will be the special guest on today’s “The Jerry & Jerry Show,” LIVE at 10:15-11:30 a.m. from the studios in downtown Charlottesville.

The show will be available on your favorite podcast venue, as well as on our Twitter or X account: @jerryratcliffe. It will be archived later in the day for those who miss the live show.

Roberts will pay tribute to the late Danny Wilmer, Virginia football’s top recruiter during the George Welsh era. Wilmer recruited Roberts out of Asheville, N.C., and he went on to become the ACC’s Jacobs Blocking Trophy winner (the best blocker in the conference) his last two years at UVA.

Roberts went on to play for nine years in the NFL as a first-round draft choice by the Seattle Seahawks and later with the Detroit Lions, where he helped Barry Sanders rush for 2,000 yards.

Audience participation is encouraged.

We’ll also talk about tonight’s UVA regular-season home finale in basketball against Florida State.
