By Scott Ratcliffe The Virginia men’s basketball program announced Tuesday morning that Arkansas State transfer wing Christian Harmon has committed to the Cavaliers. Meanwhile, former Baylor 7-footer — and 2023 NBA Draft selection — James Nnaji is reportedly currently in Charlottesville for a visit. Harmon joins UC Irvine transfer guard Jurian Dixon as part of the two-man UVA transfer class thus far. The 6-foot-6, 209-pounder, originally from Rochester, N.Y., played in all 32 contests for the Red Wolves as a junior in 2025-26, starting in 28 of them. By Jerry Ratcliffe When Tampa Bay signed undrafted free agent Chandler Morris, the Buccaneers opened up competition for their backup quarterback job. Morris, who threw his hat into the ring late (April 9) for the NFL Draft after being denied a seventh year of college eligibility, was one of two QBs signed as undrafted free agents by the Bucs. By Jerry Ratcliffe Seven-footer Ugonna Onyenso carved out a name for himself in Virginia basketball this past season when he produced the second-highest number of blocked shots in a single season, finishing only behind legendary Ralph Sampson. Ugo, as his coaches and teammates called him, averaged 2.9 blocks per game and finished second in the nation in blocked shots, leading the Cavaliers, who finished as the top shot-swatting team in the nation (6.2 per outing).
