Virginia added to its offensive firepower late Friday when the Cavaliers gained a commitment from Kent State wide receiver Da’Shawn Martin.
Martin, a 6-foot, 175-pound native of Springfield, Ohio, has two years of eligibility remaining.
Last season as a sophomore, Martin hauled in 33 passes for 507 yards and 4 touchdowns (15.5 ypc) in 11 games for the Golden Flashes. He had a 75-yard TD catch against Florida State.
As a freshman in 2024, Martin started nine games and had 109 yards in receptions along with 400 yards in kickoff returns.
