Virginia wide receiver Dontayvion Wicks was named the Atlantic Coast Conference Wide Receiver of the Week for the second-straight week. It marks the third time this season a Virginia pass catcher has been honored by the league.

Wicks is the first Cavalier wideout since Herman Moore in 1990 to earn the ACC weekly honor in back-to-back weeks. Moore won the award four times that season. Moore, Canaan Severin (2015) and Wicks are the only Virginia wide receivers to win the weekly award more than once in the same year.

Wicks recorded his fourth 100-yard receiving effort of the season in a 48-40 victory over Georgia Tech on Saturday. He finished with six receptions for 168 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Wicks averaged 28 yards per catch on the day. His first TD grab came when he high pointed the ball between two Georgia Tech defenders in the end zone on a 13-yard play. His second TD was a catch and run where he eluded his defender and raced 77 yards for a score, the longest play from scrimmage for the Virginia offense this season.

Wicks is tops in the ACC and fifth in the country with 22.29 yards per reception. His 847 yards receiving are the most in the ACC and the sixth most in NCAA. Wicks has hauled in eight touchdowns on the year, second most in the conference and tied for fifth most among FBS receivers.
