When Beau Pribula watched the Gator Bowl, obviously rooting for his Missouri teammates, he had no idea that a few weeks later that he would be a member of the team that defeated his Tigers _ Virginia.
Pribula started most of the season for Mizzou, missing some games due to injuries, then decided by season’s end that he would transfer and chose to sit out the bowl game and enter the transfer portal. Now, he’s battling another transfer, Eli Holstein, formerly of Pitt, for UVA’s starting job as spring practice is underway.
“It was weird,” Pribula said of watching the bowl game, then ending up on the other team’s roster. “I was rooting for Missouri because all my friends are on the team. So it’s funny in hindsight.”
