Five more Cavaliers enter the transfer portal

Five more Virginia players have entered the NCAA transfer portal, making a total of seven thus far. None of the UVA players were starters or part-time starters, but rather reserves or didn’t play at all.
The portal didn’t officially open until 10 p.m. on Monday, and more than 1,000 FBS players entered.
The five Cavaliers who announced their decisions Monday were sophomore running back Amaad Foston, redshirt-freshman cornerback Ant Fisher, wide receiver Demick Starling (who left the team during the season), senior defensive end Jonathan Horton and grad student Sam Brady.
Foston, perhaps a victim of a then-crowded running backs room, appeared in four games and had five rushes for 29 yards (5.8 ypc).
None of the other players acquired any statistics this past season.
Several players in the transfer portal have either visited Virginia, have planned visits or have been offered by Tony Elliott’s staff (see related article here).
