Former Virginia starting quarterback Anthony Colandrea is on the move again.
Colandrea, a native of St. Petersburg, Fla., played his first two years of college football for Tony Elliott at Virginia, transferred to UNLV after his sophomore season and won a battle for the starting quarterback in the early season. He was named first team All-Mountain West and Mountain West Offensive Player of the Year after passing for 3,459 yards, 23 touchdowns and nine interceptions for the Rebels this past season. He completed 66 percent of his passes.
Clearly, Colandrea is hoping to return to a Power 4 conference for his senior season. He is considered one of the top dual-threat quarterbacks in the nation. Colandrea has started 25 times in 27 games for UNLV and Virginia and has thrown for a combined 7,542 yards and 49 touchdowns (29 interceptions), completing 64 percent of his attempts.
