From Staff Reports

Veteran journalist Greg Waters, who has covered UVA athletics since 1999, has joined the JerryRatcliffe.com team.

“I’m honored to be part of the Ratcliffe team and to work with an amazing writer like Jerry,” Waters said.

The Shenandoah Valley native’s career spans publications from Richmond.com, TheSabre.com, Rivals’ former UVA affiliate The Wahoo Wagon, and the Augusta Free Press, with more than two decades of reporting on Cavalier football and baseball. He also co-founded CavTalk, the groundbreaking UVA sports radio show on Richmond’s WXGI that featured national-caliber guests and helped elevate recruiting coverage in the early 2000s.

“Covering UVA sports for more than two decades has given me a front-row seat to incredible people and moments, and I’m excited to bring that experience into this next chapter. Working with Jerry is a privilege, and I’m looking forward to contributing to the strong storytelling and coverage the JerryRatcliffe.com audience expects.”
