Section 1 – Power & Pitching Drive Hoos to Series Win over Clemson

The Cavaliers hit five home runs against the Clemson Tigers, and seven of their 12 runs were from the long ball in Virginia’s 2-1 series win. Defensively UVA committed just two errors, turned three double plays and held the Tigers to their second lowest weekend series earned run total of 12.

Virginia’s pitching was workmanlike, posting a 4.00 ERA for the series. Starting pitcher Henry Zatkowski claimed his sixth win of the season in game one and Lucas Hartman secured his eighth victory of the year in game three. Tyler Kapa recorded his eighth and ninth saves of the season. Kevin Jaxel took the loss in game two.
