Great Start to Week 11 Ends in 3-Loss Déjà Vu Sweep
April seems like a bad time of the year for the Hoos. In 2023, the No. 8 ranked Cavaliers had a record of 32-6 when they travelled to Notre Dame for a three-game series against the 20-15 Irish. The weather was abysmal with temperatures in the low 40’s and winds in lower teens.
The Hoos ended up losing all three games, the club’s longest losing streak since the 2022 season when the team lost five consecutive games, three against Miami on the road, one against Old Dominion at home and, ironically, the first game of another road series in Pittsburgh. Those five losses came between April 8-15, the three against the Irish in 2023 came on April 21-23, and this year’s April three-plus losses came from the 24th through the 26th.
