I had the distinct honor of attending the 50th anniversary dinner of the 1976 Virginia ACC Tournament Championship team and afterward, managed to tap into the memories of three of the starters who attended plus a key reserve.
A complete roundup of their “Miracle at Landover” appears elsewhere on this site, describing the Cavaliers upset wins over three nationally ranked opponents in three days for UVA’s first ACC championship.
Following are the thoughts of three starters: Tournament MVP Wally Walker, Otis Fulton and Marc Iavaroni, along with Dr. Bobby Stokes, a key freshman reserve.
