Two members of the Virginia men’s tennis team competed at the ITA East Sectional Championship held Nov. 6-9 in Chapel Hill, N.C.

The 2025 ITA Sectional Championships consisted of 32 singles players and 16 doubles teams, with six singles players from each sectional qualifying for the NCAA Singles Championship (semifinalists, two quarterfinal playoff winners) and three doubles teams (champion, finalist, third place).

Mans Dahlberg advanced to the quarterfinals of the singles draw, but came up one win shy of qualifying for the NCAA Singles Championship. He was edged in a tight quarterfinal 7-6, 5-7, 6-3 before being edged 7-5, 7-5 in his final chance to qualify.

Stiles Brockett also competed in the singles draw, advancing to the Round of 16.

Dahlberg previously qualified for the NCAA Doubles Championship at the ITA Atlantic Regional last month. Dylan Dietrich, Keegan Rice and Jangjun Kim have all qualified for the NCAA Singles Championship, with Dietrich partnering with Dahlberg in the doubles draw.

The NCAA Singles and Doubles Championships are being held Nov. 18-23 at the USTA National Campus in Orlando, Fla.
