According to reports out of Kentucky, Virginia made a strong run at the Wildcats’ Kenny Brooks to become its women’s basketball coach, but came up short with its offer.

KSR, once the largest independent college sports site on the internet, reported that UVA’s offer to Brooks on Monday night came up short of the funding and salary that the Waynesboro, Va., native is receiving at Kentucky.
