The first prospect offered under the new Ron Sanchez regime at Virginia is one of the most dynamic big guards in the South.

Manny Green, listed at 6-foot-7 by some recruiting sites, but who was measured at 6-4 without shoes at the Adidas All-America Camp, is a 4-star prospect from Cedar Grove, Georgia.

Green, from the 2026 recruiting class, is ranked the No. 52 overall prospect in the nation in that class, the No. 18 small forward and the fifth-best prospect in the Peach State.

While recruiters expect Green to grow, they were blown away by his measured wing span of 6-10.5.

Described as a physical prospect and explosive athlete whose stock is expected to soar, he is a three-level scorer and also a solid defender on the perimeter.

Virginia is the latest to offer Green, who already held offers from Tennessee, Florida, Indiana, Auburn, Clemson, Georgia Tech and Cincinnati.

Coaches like his work ethic and desire to improve his game, as evidenced by the increase in both his 3-point and free-throw shooting.

In 2023, Green shot a mere 22 percent from the 3-point line and 57 percent from the free-throw line to a dramatic jump over the summer to 41 percent from the arc and 76 percent at the free-throw line.
