Virginia Athletics announced a number of enhancements to the game day experience for home baseball games at Disharoon Park during the 2020 season. Fans will notice enhancements to entry procedures, game day promotions and concessions offerings beginning with the home opener on Tuesday, Feb. 18 vs. VMI.

Concessions Enhancements

Fans will see several new concessions offerings at Disharoon Park this spring. These offerings include:

  • The Porch will be located in the right field concourse and will sell beer, wine and hard cider to fans of legal drinking age. With great views of the field from the concourse, The Porch will be open to the public beginning 60 minutes before first pitch. Guests 21 and older will be given a bracelet following an ID check. The bracelet will enable each guest to purchase two drinks at one time and up to four drinks during the game. All alcohol must be consumed inside the beverage garden and sales will end at the conclusion of the seventh inning stretch.
  • New concessions offerings include the Ballpark Burger that features a number of options, steak and cheese subs, jerk chicken nachos and jerk chicken sandwiches and Ben & Jerry’s milkshakes served in souvenir mason jars.
  • Dollar Dog Days – There will be five, dollar dog days at Disharoon Park during the season. Fans should mark their calendars for the following Dollar Dog Night games:
    • March 3 vs. Richmond
    • March 31 vs. Cornell
    • April 9 vs. Wake Forest
    • April 21 vs. Liberty
    • May 14 vs. North Carolina

Pre-Game and Entry Procedure Enhancements

  • Baseball tickets are now completely mobile. Pedestal scanners will be added at each gate. The pedestal scanners reduce the amount of time it takes to scan tickets at the gate and will help expedite entry into Disharoon Park. Fans with questions should contact the Virginia Athletics Ticket Office by phone at 1-800-542-UVA1 or by email at uvatickets@virginia.edu.

A reminder, the bag policy remains in place for the 2020 season. Bags must be clear plastic, vinyl or PVC and cannot exceed 12″ x 6″ x 12″ or clear one-gallon plastic freezer bags (Ziploc bag or similar) are also permitted. Small clutch bags/wallets no larger than 4.5″ x 6.5″ (with or without a handle or strap) can be taken into the stadium and will be subject to search.
