Virginia swimming & diving will host three meets to highlight the 2023-24 schedule, head coach Todd DeSorbo announced recently. The upcoming slate features some of the top programs in the nation.

“One of the things I look forward to the most with our home competitions is the environment created by our fans,” DeSorbo said. “We have one of the best home meet environments in the country due to the turnout of our alumni, families and student body at UVA. The drumline comes and is often drowned out by the ruckus in the stands from our fans. It truly plays a huge role in the performance of our team and the excitement. We’ve had opposing teams tell us it’s the best environment they’ve ever been in, and we’re excited to continue that tradition this year.”

UVA’s women are coming off their third consecutive NCAA Championship last season, while the men look to improve on its top-15 finish from 2022-23.

The season kicks off with a dual meet at Florida on Oct. 13. Last season the two teams split in dual-meet action at the Aquatic & Fitness Center. Florida’s men finished third and the women were sixth in the final CSCAA poll last season.

Virginia will open its home slate with a two-day meet against another top-five program, welcoming Texas on Friday, Oct. 27 and Saturday, Oct. 28 in Charlottesville. The Texas women were runner-up at NCAAs in 2022-23 and the men finished fifth in the final poll.

Virginia will also host NC State and UNC in a two-day tri-meet on Jan. 19-20. UVA will also host the third-annual Cavalier Invite Feb. 9-11.

The Cavaliers will travel to the Tennessee Invite in the fall (Nov. 15-17) and will compete in a road dual at Virginia Tech (Jan. 13).

The 2023-24 ACC Championships will be held Feb. 20-24 in Greensboro, N.C. The women’s NCAA Championships are set for March 20-23 in Athens, Ga., and the men’s NCAA Championship will run March 27-30 in Indianapolis, Ind.
