Team Of Destiny A Big Hit With Wahoo Fans

team of destiny cover“I think it was the greatest assist, maybe ever. What Kihei Clark did, to chase down that tap into the backcourt, I’m telling you that 99 percent of everybody who plays the game would have panicked and launched the ball before they got to midcourt. It would have been a half-court heave, and our chances are one in 500. This kid whipped that ball to the frontcourt. It was a tremendous moment, and Mamadi made a great shot.” — CBS commentator Jim Nantz on UVA’s last-second play that sent its Elite Eight game vs. Purdue into overtime.

The above paragraph is one of a season-full of thrills and chills by Virginia’s basketball team en route to the program’s first national championship. All of those moments have been captured in a book documenting the season: “Team of Destiny, Inside Virginia Basketball’s Run to the 2019 National Championship.”

Written and reported by Jerry Ratcliffe, Chris Graham, Zach Pereles, Scott Ratcliffe and Scott German, “Team of Destiny” has been a huge hit with Cavalier fans across the nation.

While the concentration of sales has been in the Charlottesville region, books have been ordered from all 50 states.

Even former Virginia star Kyle Guy, “Most Outstanding Player” of the NCAA Final Four, recently posted the book on his Instagram account.
