By Jerry Ratcliffe
Virginia basketball hosted Class of 2024 small forward Caleb Williams on an unofficial visit over the weekend.
Williams, 6-foot-7, attends Sidwell Friends School in Washington, D.C. He is not yet rated by the national recruiting services, but Prep Hoops has him ranked as the third-best overall prospect in the Maryland/D.C. area for the ‘24 class.
Williams does have several offers, including Virginia Tech (first to offer), VCU, Maryland, Penn State and Ole Miss.
On his Twitter account, Williams thanked Tony Bennett and associate head coach Jason Williford for hosting him over the weekend and giving him details on UVA basketball.
Huge thank you to @CoachWillyUVA & Coach Tony Bennett for having me on campus! I had an amazing time visiting UVA and hearing what the program has in store! #GoHoos #e4yall pic.twitter.com/uT5N7ObL9M
