Virginia has extended offers to two fast-rising North Carolina guards from the recruiting class of 2027.

Thomas Vickery, a 6-foot-6 shooting guard/small forward, from Myers Park/Charlotte, N.C., announced on his Twitter/X account that he had received an offer from UVA coach Ryan Odom.

Meanwhile, R.J. Moore, a 6-7 shooting guard from Ambassador Christian School in North Carolina, announced after his recent unofficial visit to UVA that he had also gained an offer from the Cavaliers.

Vickery, a 4-star by 247Sports, is ranked No. 98 overall in his class by Rivals, No. 19 among shooting guards and rated the fifth-best overall prospect in his state.

He holds offers from UVA, NC State, Clemson, Wake Forest, Tennessee, Mississippi State and others. Vickery visited Michigan last month.

Moore has offers from UVA, Florida State, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Wake Forest, Mississippi State, Utah and others.

One scout reported: “Moore is a natural scorer, a smooth wing who gets to his spots with ease and pours in the points consistently.”
