Virginia has one of the more interesting quarterback duels going on in the ACC, if not the country this spring with two former starters battling for the job in Beau Pribula and Eli Holstein. It could get a lot more complicated if former starter Chandler Morris wins his lawsuit against the NCAA and returns to UVA for a seventh year of college football.

Meanwhile, Cavaliers quarterback coach Taylor Lamb is working with Pribula and Holstein, along with a younger Cole Geer, tapping into their strengths during spring practice and attempting to develop their games and fit Tony Elliott’s system.

Pribula, 6-foot-2, 212 pounds, is a grad student, with experience at Missouri and Penn State. Holstein is 6-4, 225, a senior academically, who was in the programs at Pitt and Alabama. Geer was recruited out of high school and a 6-1, 210, is learning by observing the older QBs work, just as he did last season behind Morris.
