Homegrown Virginia target Latrell Allmond is near an announcement for his college choice.
According to Sam Kayser, recruiting analyst for LeagueRDY, the 6-foot-8 power forward from Petersburg, Va., will make his choice on Monday (Oct. 13).
Allmond, who formerly played at John Marshall High in Richmond, will choose between five schools: Virginia, Tennessee, Indiana, Maryland and Oklahoma State.
Ranked among the top 30 prospects in the recruiting class of 2026, Allmond is considered the No. 2 recruit in the state of Virginia.
He has been recruited by UVA coach Ryan Odom and his staff since Allmond was in the ninth grade. Odom was at VCU back then, but has intensified the recruitment since taking the Virginia job last spring.
Allmond made an official visit to UVA the weekend of the Cavaliers’ football win over Florida State.
