Coach Bennett takes questions ahead of Friday’s National Championship Celebration at John Paul Jones Arena.

National Championship winning coach Tony Bennett spoke with members of the Virginia media ahead of Friday’s ‘Night with the National Champions’ ceremony at John Paul Jones Arena.

In these three videos, Bennett answers questions about the championship rings and his remarks to his team about the evening’s events.

The Cavaliers finished the 2018-19 season with a record of 35-3, defeating Texas Tech in the title game on April 8 in Minneapolis. Kyle Guy was named Most Outstanding Player, and he was on hand along with Ty Jerome and De’Andre Hunter Friday at JPJ for the celebration.

The players and coaches will shortly be receiving their championship rings, and the program’s first national championship banner will be raised into the rafters.
