Virginia gets transfer OT Canelas from Lehigh, previously offered by Hokies and Tar Heels

Garrett Tujague got another boost for his Virginia offensive line on Saturday when Andrew Canelas, a 6-foot-9, 315-pound offensive tackle, announced his transfer from Lehigh.

Canelas, who has four years of eligibility remaining, made the announcement on his Twitter account on Saturday.

The Raleigh, N.C., native was a 3-star prospect in the Class of 2021 and held offers from North Carolina, Virginia Tech, West Virginia, NC State, East Carolina, Duke, Liberty and Army along with UVA. He did not play in any games at Lehigh as a freshman last season.

Canelas, who played at Leesville Road High School, was the No. 51 rated overall prospect in the state of North Carolina in the ‘21 class, and the No. 100 offensive tackle prospect in the country according to 247Sports.
