uva basketballVirginia’s relationship with 4-Star power forward Isaac Traudt became much more serious on Wednesday when Tony Bennett made an offer to the Nebraska native.

Bennett and the Cavaliers staff made the offer during the second Zoom conference with the Class of 2022 Top 50 junior. The offer came only 24 hours after Traudt scored 34 points, grabbed 11 rebounds and dished 4 assists during his latest outing.

Traudt has more than 25 Division I offers, Virginia being the latest.

Some of the other schools courting Traudt include: Kansas, Stanford, Creighton, Louisville, Oklahoma, Nebraska, Missouri, Oklahoma State, Minnesota, Ohio State, Oregon, Purdue, Kansas State, Ole Miss, Iowa, Georgetown and Virginia Tech.

Traudt described his relationship as “heavily involved.”

The prospect is so athletic that his coach at Grand Island Senior School in Grand Island, Neb., has him running the team as point guard. Depending on the source, Traudt is either 6-9 or 6-10, having grown from 6-2 his freshman year.

While he’s playing point guard now, college coaches project him as a 3 or stretch-4.

He’s rated the No. 11 power forward in the country, No. 58 overall prospect in the class of 2022 by 247Sports.

As of early January, Traudt was averaging 26 points, 10 rebounds per game while shooting 40 percent from behind the 3-point arc.
