Virginia makes the cut for 5-star forward Brown
By Jerry Ratcliffe
One of the top 15 players in the country has included Virginia on his cut to 10 schools.
Kendall Brown, a 6-foot-7, 205-pound, 5-star small forward, made UVA the only ACC school on his final 10 list. A do-it-all wing forward who can play four positions, announced his list earlier this week.
Virginia joins Kansas, Ohio State, Marquette, Arkansas, Baylor, Arizona, Minnesota, Maryland and Illinois on the list.
While Kansas and Ohio State appear to be the frontrunners, recruiting analysts wonder how Brown will view the Jayhawks after the NCAA hit the program with five Level-1 rules violations earlier this month.
Brown averaged 17 points per game as a junior at Sunrise Christian Academy in Belaire, Kan., last season. Sunrise teammate Zach Clemence committed this week to Kansas.
