Virginia’s men’s program finished No. 4 in the nation, behind only Stanford, Alabama and Michigan. The only other ACC schools in the top 20 were North Carolina at No. 6, Notre Dame No. 7, NC State at No. 17, and Clemson No. 19.

The UVA women’s program finished No. 16 nationally, the fourth-highest of ACC teams in the top 20, behind only Florida State (No. 5), North Carolina (No. 6), Boston College (No. 11).

One note that Virginia fans will enjoy, is that state rival Virginia Tech’s men’s program did not finish in the 102 teams ranked nationally, and the Hokies women’s program was not ranked among the 96 rated in the women’s cup standings.
