Virginia basketball may be finished with recruiting for this year’s team, but the Cavaliers are already looking to the future, having reached out with an offer to a star prospect for the recruiting class of 2025.

Five-star power forward Bryson Tiller (6-foot-8, 225-pounds) from Atlanta is the latest player to hold a Virginia offer, in what is expected to be a major recruiting battle. Tiller is rated as the No. 5 overall prospect in his class, the No. 4 power forward in the nation and the top prospect in the state of Georgia by 247Sports composite.

He finished this spring as the first high school sophomore to ever sign with the Overtime Elite pro league in Atlanta, where he played with projected NBA Draft lottery picks Amen and Ausar (twins) Thompson. The team won the OTE championship with the City Reapers, where Tiller averaged 11.5 points and 6.5 rebounds per game, posted five double-doubles and scored in double figures in 12 of 15 games, including a 15 & 8 result in the title game.

Thus far, Tiller has received offers from Virginia, Florida, Auburn, Georgia, Houston, Indiana, Georgia Tech, Missouri, Ole Miss, Xavier and a few others.

His recruitment is now open, and Tiller is bracing for what’s to come.

“I’m close to my family, so I’ll talk to them, my dad, my mom, my sisters, so just talking with them and just staying focused right now on basketball is the main thing. Eventually, I’ll get to that point and I’ll be ready,” he said.
