Virginia men’s basketball announced its 2022-23 nonconference schedule Monday, a slate that features 10 contests, including seven home games at John Paul Jones Arena.

The Cavaliers’ nonconference schedule is highlighted by a home contest vs. 2022 NCAA Elite Eight participant Houston (Dec. 17), an ACC/Big Ten Challenge matchup at 2022 NCAA Sweet 16 participant Michigan (Nov. 29) and a pair of neutral site games vs. 2021 NCAA champion Baylor, UCLA or Illinois at the Las Vegas Main Event (Nov. 18 & 20).

UVA hosts North Carolina Central University in its season-opener on Nov. 7 and also entertains Monmouth (Nov. 11), Northern Iowa (Nov. 14), Maryland Eastern Shore (Nov. 25), JMU (Dec. 6) and Albany (Dec. 28) at John Paul Jones Arena.

As previously announced, UVA’s 20-game ACC schedule includes home-and-home matchups with Boston College, Florida State, Louisville, North Carolina, Syracuse and Virginia Tech. The Cavaliers will only host Clemson, Duke, NC State and Notre Dame, while only playing road contests at Georgia Tech, Miami, Pitt and Wake Forest.

Dates for ACC contests, game times and TV designations for the entire 2022-23 schedule will be announced at a later date.
