Virginia reveals 2023-24 schedule; Hoos will host UNC, travel to Duke

The Atlantic Coast Conference released the 2023-24 men’s basketball conference schedules on Tuesday. Virginia will play 20 ACC regular-season games, including 10 contests at John Paul Jones Arena.

ACC HOME SCHEDULE

The Cavaliers’ home ACC schedule includes contests against Syracuse (Dec. 2, Noon), Louisville (Jan. 3, 7 p.m.), Virginia Tech (Jan. 17, 7 p.m.), NC State (Jan. 24, 7 p.m.), Notre Dame (Jan. 31, 7 p.m.), Miami (Feb. 5, 7 p.m.), Pittsburgh (Feb. 13, 7 p.m.), Wake Forest (Feb. 17, Noon), North Carolina (Feb. 24, 2 or 4 p.m.) and Georgia Tech (March 9, 8 p.m.).

ACC ROAD SCHEDULE

Virginia’s road schedule consists of games at Notre Dame (Dec. 30, Noon), NC State (Jan. 6, 2 p.m.), Wake Forest (Jan. 13, 2 p.m.), Georgia Tech (Jan. 20, 6 p.m.), Louisville (Jan. 27, TBA), Clemson (Feb. 3, 2 p.m.), Florida State (Feb. 10, 7:45 p.m.), Virginia Tech (Feb. 19, 7 p.m.), Boston College (Feb. 28, 9 p.m.) and Duke (March 2, 6 p.m.).

2023-24 Schedule

TV EXPOSURE

Virginia will make 12 appearances on ESPN’s family of networks during the ACC season, including games against Duke, Miami, Virginia Tech and Wake Forest on ESPN. The Cavaliers have six games on ACC Network and a pair of contests on The CW.

PEPSI BLUE-WHITE SCRIMMAGES

The Virginia men’s and women’s basketball Pepsi Blue-White Scrimmages will be held on Saturday, Oct. 14 at John Paul Jones Arena at 1:30 p.m.

The event will begin with the women’s scrimmage followed by the men’s annual intrasquad scrimmage. Admission and parking are free for both events. Seating is general admission and first come, first served. Gates will open at 12:30 p.m.

TEAM HIGHLIGHTS

Reece Beekman, Ryan Dunn, Isaac McKneely and Taine Murray headline the list of returners from last year’s 25-8 squad that won the ACC regular-season championship and advanced to the NCAA Tournament. Redshirts Leon Bond III and Dante Harris (Georgetown) join transfers Jake Groves (Oklahoma), Jordan Minor (Merrimack) and Andrew Rohde (St. Thomas), and newcomers Blake Buchanan, Elijah Gertrude and Anthony Robinson on this year’s squad. Christian Bliss (redshirt), Tristan How and Desmond Roberts round out the 2023-24 roster.

SEASON TICKETS

Season tickets are sold out for the 2023-24 season. Fans may sign up for the 2024-25 season ticket waitlist. There is no cost to join. The waitlist ranking is based on Virginia Athletic Foundation priority point order.

MINI PLANS

A variety of multi-game packages will be able available for fans to purchase.  Three-game mini plan features the choice of Texas A&M or Syracuse plus two additional non-conferences games. Additionally, the Holiday 2 Pack allows fans to pick two games from Northeastern, Morgan State and Louisville. Mini plans go on sale Tuesday Oct. 10 to season ticket members and Virginia Athletic Foundation donors of $100 or more and the public on Thursday, Oct. 12 at 9 am.

GROUP OUTINGS

Discounted group tickets will be available for non-conference games excluding Texas A&M for groups of 20 or more. Fans save 20 percent off the single-game price. Ticket prices vary based upon the seating area and opponent. Group tickets go on sale Tuesday, Oct. 10 to season ticket members and Virginia Athletic Foundation donors of $100 or more and the public on Thursday, Oct. 12 at 9 a.m.

Enjoy a game from the comfort of a semi-private space in the lower level of John Paul Jones Arena in the Landing. The Landing includes 16 tickets and the ability to order catering. The Landing features 12 padded seats and four standing room only tickets, drink tables and a corner view of all the action on the court. SINGLE-GAME TICKETS

Non-conference games excluding Texas A&M will go on sale Tuesday Oct. 10 to season ticket members and Virginia Athletic Foundation donors of $100 or more and the public on Thursday, Oct. 12 at 9 am. Please note, Texas A&M & Syracuse will only be available as part of multi-game packages. Games in January, February and March will go on sale later in the year.  Tickets prices vary based upon the opponent and seating area.

HOW TO PURCHASE TICKETS

Tickets can be purchased 24/7 on uvatix.com. Fans can also purchase tickets during normal business hours in-person at Bryant Hall inside Scott Stadium or by calling the ticket office at (434) 924-8821. The box office opens at John Paul Jones Arena for ticket purchases beginning 60 minutes prior to the event. Fans are encouraged to purchase in advance.
