Williams, Sargent, Crum leading divisions at City Golf Championship
Grady Williams is the leader of the annual Charlottesville City Golf Championship after Saturday’s opening round. The 36-hole, stroke-play championship will conclude Sunday at Meadowcreek Golf Course.
Williams posted a 4-under-par 67 in the men’s regular division. Greene Hills’ Mikey Moyers, who ran away with last year’s title, is not defending his championship.
Meanwhile, UVA men’s golf coach Bowen Sargent is leading the Seniors Division of the tournament with an even-par 71 and holds a two-stroke lead over Neil Davis.
Greg Crum is leading the Super Seniors division with a 2-under 69.
Tee times for Sunday’s final round begin at 8 a.m. through 11:30, weather permitting.
