If you love golf, here’s your chance to win the golf trip of your dreams and help out area youth for only 100 bucks.

It’s the Great American Golf Trip Raffle, with 100 percent of the proceeds going to support First Tee Virginia Blue Ridge, headquartered right here in Charlottesville. The winner gets a trip for four to one of golf’s legendary venues: Pebble Beach Golf Resort or Pinehurst Resort, your choice.

Should you choose Pebble, here’s your prize: three rounds of golf at Pebble Beach, Spyglass and Spanish Bay. Three nights in two Garden View rooms at the Inn at Spanish Bay and $1,000 per person travel allowance.

Prefer closer to home and choose Pinehurst, here’s your prize: four rounds of golf, including one round on the famed Pinehurst No. 2, which has hosted several U.S. Opens. Also, four nights in two deluxe guestrooms at The Manor, a recently-renovated historic inn, plus $1,000 per person travel allowance.

Don’t take long to think about buying a raffle ticket for only $100 (maximum of 10), because only 500 tickets will be sold and the drawing is coming up on Sept. 1.

If you want to buy a raffle ticket to help out First Tee Blue Ridge, but you aren’t a golfer, it makes a great gift, or you can take a $10,000 cash payout as another option.

This is one of the major fundraiser events for our local First Tee program, which allows youth to learn valuable life lessons, life skills, while learning the game of golf, a tremendous program that makes a difference in our community.
