Women’s Golf: No. 23 Virginia concludes regular season at Wolfpack Match Play

The No. 23 Virginia women’s golf dropped a 4-1 decision to top-seeded Wake Forest in the consolation finals at NC State’s Wolfpack Match Play tournament on Tuesday in Raleigh.
Megan Propeck won UVA’s only match by a 2&1 score against Mimi Rhodes.
Jaclyn LaHa fell to Rachel Kuehn, 2&1, Celeste Valinho dropped her match to Macy Pate, 5&4, Jennifer Cleary lost to Brooke Rivers, 1UP, and Rebecca Skoler was defeated by Carolina Lopez-Chacarra, 5&4.
Earlier in the event, UVA defeated Coastal Carolina (4-1) and lost to North Carolina (3-2).
UVA was playing without Amanda Sambach who competed late last week at the Augusta National Women’s Amateur.
The Wolfpack Match Play is Virginia’s final tournament of the regular season. Next up for the Cavaliers is the ACC Championships set for April 18-21 at Porters Neck Country Club in Wilmington, N.C.
